About Me

Family & Consumer Sciences Education
January 2001
B.S.Ed. C.T.E.

Teaching is a calling and I strongly believe in teaching through service learning. I encourage my students to volunteer in their community every semester. Volunteering benefits the students as well as the direct beneficiary. My students and I volunteer through various avenues such as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, the partnership with the Choctaw Nation to create Pirate Recycling here at PHS, and spending time with the residents of the Oaks Nursing Home. We also have annual drives for food, clothing, or personal hygiene products for those in need. If you know of an area that could benefit from an awesome team of caring and hard working students, please contact the high school at 918-647-7716 and let us know!

I am a proud member of the NEA, OEA, and PEA.

I have two children. My oldest has a B.S. in Biochemistry and is currently enrolled at the University of Oklahoma pursuing a Pharm D. My youngest is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education at Northeastern State University.

I have one grandson who is currently enrolled in Head Start, pursuing a mastery of the alphabet and numerals.
