Born in Baltimore. Grew up in rural West Virginia where I worked on a dairy farm before attending college at WVU studying animal sciences.

Attended graduate school at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Enjoy gardening, fly fishing, and "ranching" (my term for goofing off in my workshop).
